The Book: Traveler of Heart
Daphne Silver is thirty-six and had it all figured out: the husband, the job, three kids, and a book club she ran on the side. Then the accident. Now she's holding onto what's left of the life she built, and a technology-free retreat feels like the only way to breathe.
The stars have other plans. Instead of the retreat, Daphne lands in a world of fae, dragons, and magic. A stranger named Silas pulls her out of immediate danger and agrees to help her get home, and what follows is a scramble across an unfamiliar realm, complicated by magic she didn't know she had, oracles who won't speak plainly, and a romance that has no future by definition.
The clock is the thing. Nobody back home is looking for her, and her family cannot survive two tragedies in one year.

Every week you wait is a week less to read.

Traveler of Heart Author
Born and raised in Florida, Elle Kish grew up escaping into books and pretending she had magical powers, just like her favorite characters. That love of the fantastical never faded through adulthood, running a small business, or raising two children with her husband.
Traveler of Heart is her debut novel. When she isn't writing the sequel or reading more romantasy, she's exploring theme parks with her family and walking nature trails with their two huskies.
Your own copy of Traveler of Heart, signed by Elle before the event. Yours to keep whether or not you finish it.
The ticket covers beer, house cider, wine, or a non-alcoholic option from Sideward's bar. *Only good for the day of the event.
A full conversation with Elle Kish, open Q&A, and time afterward to talk one-on-one.
A few practical things:
Pick it up free from Fireside Books at an Orlando market or we'll meet up with you somewhere at your convenience, or add $8 shipping at checkout. Order early so you have time to read.
Reading it first makes the night richer, but nobody's checking. Come for the author, the room, and the conversation.
Sideward has a full kitchen: gyro, pulled pork, pimento grilled cheese, a tempeh reuben. Food is on you, but worth planning for
Ground-level seating in the covered beer garden, no stairs. The lot is shared with Stasio's next door and fills up fast. Street parking in the Milk District is the safer bet. Reach out with any access question and we'll sort it ahead of time.
Cancellations: Plans change, here's how we handle it.
Your ticket includes a signed copy of Traveler of Heart, which goes out as soon as you order. Cancel before your book ships and you'll get a full refund. Once it's shipped, we can't refund the ticket, but the book is yours to keep, and you're welcome to send someone in your place. Just email us their name so we know who to expect.
If we have to cancel or move the date, you'll get a full refund or a spot at the new one, whichever you'd rather. The book stays with you either way.
Come as you are. There's no quiz.
Redeem your drink, grab a seat in the beer garden, say hi to somebody. Sideward's kitchen is open if you want food. The boiled peanuts with Korean barbecue sauce are not a typo.
A quick hello, plus how the night is going to run. Two minutes, tops.
Shauna from Fireside leads the conversation, where the idea for Traveler of Heart started, how a debut actually gets finished, and what surprised her along the way.
The floor opens up. Ask about Daphne, the fae, what she's writing now, or how anyone finishes a novel with two kids in the house.
Meet the other readers, talk to Elle one-on-one, order another round. There's no formal end, leave whenever you're ready.
